Do It Right

Big game this weekend with #8 Boise State coming into the Doyt. This should be one of the wildest crowds at the Doyt in a while. I’ll be with my beautiful wife Dana at our friends wedding and reception all weekend. It should be an excellent time but there is a big part of me that is down about not being at the game. Most of you know I’ve had a rough September so I won’t get back into the specifics. This will be the first BG home game I’ve missed since 1997…whoa.

I hope everyone has a blast and the Falcons come up with a big win. The tailgate parties are always the best! One thing I want everyone to do…watch what you’re doing. If you are driving ANYWHERE after the game, definitely watch what you’re doing. I don’t want to see the same thing happen to anyone that happened to me…well, except for Snakeman. Nah, not even Snakeman. If you’re gonna drink beverages of the adult variety, make sure you eat plenty and drink water or pop as well. I thought I was doing the responsible thing for the Troy game and yet it still wasn’t good enough. I played by the rules and still got nailed…and it sux.

Finally, watch out for each other. We have an awesome group of tailgate people and we need to keep an eye on each other. Again, if this prevents someone from going thru what I am at this time, it is well worth it. Just be careful and if anyone notices someone not fit to drive, do whatever you can to stop them. BG folks are genuine and look after each other cuz we’re a big family.

My parents and the Freaklings will be in attendance as well as my sister, Brenda. She is a 1987 BG grad and BETTER be wearing orange that day. Dayons Den, I am sending 3 poster schedules with the Freaklings and will tell them to walk them over to your car. I’ve also told the Freaklings to say hey to everyone at our spot for me and scream loudly at the game!!!! They have $20 for 50/50 tix since Josh and I won $780 at the Green game last Friday. 30 tix to win a big jackpot!!!

Edna Sheehan, I will miss seeing you. Edna is simply the best and always a joy to be around. FF, BG Fan, Class of 61, Hammb, Metz, Grant, Vdub26, Bob D and everyone else…rock it big time Saturday night for me.

So, in closing….watch out for each other and have fun. You guys are all great friends and know the Freak will be at the game in spirit. They can never take my spirit for BGSU away. GO FALCONS!!!!!!!!!
