I commend Coach Williams, it would have been so ease after this game to toss various player by name under the bus. He did not. Coach was also plain spoken and realistic.
We still are 0-0-0 in the CCHA. The guys can learn a lot from this game, need to learn a lot from this game. “Work and Honor to put the BGSU Jersey on.” How true.
After checking the USA hockey website, I noticed that the U18 team was ZERO wins and SEVEN losses in the USHL junior league. They have also lost to EVERY college team EXCEPT BGSU. So where does that put the level of Bowling Green?? Maybe at the level of a Bad High School team. I think the coach should be VERY UPSET with his team. I know this is NOT really his fault, this is the mess created by departed coach, Scott Paluch. The legacy of the MESS” POOCH” created will be felt until all the terrible players he chose have left the program. Most players brought in by POOCH are NOT capable of playing at the CCHA level. Including both goaltenders and most of the rest of the team. So don’t blame the coach, this is still Poochs MESS.
