Alright so i want to have an Orange and Brown party, and at this party i need food ideas that can only be orange and brown. I can easily make Orange and Brown desserts but i cant think of like actual main course meals. If anyone has any ideas that would be great.

I'm not a fan, but pot roast w/ carrots would probably qualify.

Butternut squash lasagna with whole wheat lasagna noodles.

Cheeseburgers made with the "orangest" cheddar or colby you can find on whole wheat buns.

I give a vote for mac and cheese as the orange. Home made, of course.

Damn! Beat me to it!

Last year I tried to keep a game day routine of eating/drinking only orange foods. It was difficult. I don't like doritos anymore.

So, for a party, are you looking for a meal or appetizer-type foods?

For orange, I'd suggest sweet potato oven fries. Those can stand as an appetizer or side dish.

Blue-corn chips (which are pretty close to brown) with hummus (we buy a roasted red pepper hummus that is very much orange ... go figure).

Along this appetizer vein, if you mix tostitos salsa evenly with tostitos salsa con queso, you get a very tasty orange concoction. Serve warm.

Chicken wings have to be a winner. With the hot sauce they have that wonderful orange colour. Serve them warm, serve them cold. Great finger food. Served with a bit of blue cheese salad dressing, and some carrot sticks, and that colour coordinates the away uniform.

For the sweet-toothed among us, maybe an orange souffle. Mmm. And what about chocolate mousse? I have my mother's recipe for that somewhere. Winner.

You could get those halloween Oreos. Brown cookie, orange icing!

Steak would qualify as brown (I eat mine well done). Steak and macaroni and cheese!

Pasta salad:

whole wheat pasta with slivered carrots, orange bell peppers. Olive oil, lemon/lime, salt/pepper. Use some fresh oregano and thyme (yeah, I know, not orange) to spruce up the dish.

Sweet potatoe fries with the skin left on. Serve with a horseradish sauce.

LOL, my bad...

Sweet Potatoes are an excellent call for something orange though. I found this summer that if you just make a bed of coals in your grill, you can throw the potatoes right on the coals. When they're done, just pull them off, cut in half, and scoop out the insides. The potatoes will have a little hint of smoky flavor, and are really good.
