Maybe Orr just doesn't feel he should have "fallen" down to the BGSU level, feels he should be moving up and forward, and is scratching an itch. He may not dislike being at BGSU, but simply doesn't see it as the level or type of place he wants to settle. His kid is finishing high school, he is content for now, but that is quickly coming to an end. Meanwhile, his program might have scored a regular season title, but isn't exactly breaking free of the pack.
I think the new building, the rise of financial support for the program, and the non-horrible level of the product on the court leave BGSU in a good place to advance from, including whomever the next coach is, whenever that should happen.
Whatever is the case, all parties need to keep their powder dry. If he has even a modestly great year, he's likely gone. If he has a modestly bad year, same story, different reason.
