I would like to see Jennifer Roos get her chance but if sur follows coach Miller then how about Kate Achter as coach, with Ali, Liz and Megan all as assistants.

I'm sure they would be fine coaches but I'm not sure that they're far enough removed from their playing days to be as effective as they need to be. Too close in age to the players that they would be coaching (in particular, for the head coach). Just my opinion, fwiw (which probably isn't much).

Don't get me wrong. I loved watching that Sweet Sixteen program and these players, but they need some more time out of BG before they return to the roost.

I think we are years and years away from seeing any of those four as the head coach at BG, they just haven't been in coaching long enough. Now if it is Roos who is named head coach I wouldn't be shocked if one ended up back here as an assistant

I agree. I also wouldn't be surprised to see one of them on Coach Miller's staff at Indiana.

I agree that none of our former Falcons in the coaching ranks are ready to be a head coach. All of them have potential in the future. I, too, wouldn't be shocked to see one of them on our staff if Jennifer becomes the head coach. I hope that Jennifer does apply for the head job. She certainly proved, at least to me, that she is ready to be the head of the program.

Another thing I'm interested in seeing if Jennifer is named head coach here is what do Kevin, Brandi, and Monique do, stay here, follow Curt, or go somewhere different

I have no idea what Kevin or Brandi will do if Jennifer is named head coach. Monique's husband Clayton is a professor at BGSU so she has some ties here other than Curt. It certainly will be interesting to see how all of this shakes out. I'll be anxiously waiting to see who is the new head of our Women's basketball program. All of us want what is best for the players. They will have some say in who their new coach is.

Anyone know what the strengths were of the staff? For example, was one person the top recruiter? Who was the best teacher? Who did the best scouts of opponents? Of course, the answer to all could be Curt.

If Jen is named the head coach, I see the following as happening -

Brandi staying and becomes the Associate Head Coach

Kevin is with Curt at IU

Monique stays at BG (her husband is a faculty member Communications).

Jen and Brandi each have houses that they would need to sell if they were to leave.

I think as GC and Lesley make some calls about the position and do their job, they are going to hear the same thing over and over again and that is Jen is the logical choice and is ready for the job.

I think Brandi and Kevin are going to Indiana, no matter what happens with the HC position at BG, and certainly Jen if she chooses to go rather than apply or get the HC here.

I'm guessing the only reason Jen would not be the next coach would be if she would rather be an assistant under Miller at IU.

If not Roos, it wouldn't surprise me if you guys got a top assistant from one of the top tier programs. Hard not to see your program as a excellent situation given history, fan support, and new arena

A brand new arena. A ton of underclassman turning upperclassman, including talent like Rogers, Steffan, Matthews. Legacy of greatness. Great community support and a fan base that SHOWS UP to games and makes the house roar. Even a great fan base that travels. BG is really very attractive - but we shall see if the salary is competitive enough.
