Did anyone else note that the SAME official (gray haired one) called the last NINE (9) fouls in succession on BG!!! How about the one that Jen Uhl got knocked down (fouled at least twice on a shot) and she was called for the foul laying on the ground while UT rebounded. Thae dame guy has ALWAYS been a PITA for BG.

Before I take my cool down time I just wanna say one thing: F*** THAT GUY. I know we didnt play well. But my 3 year old nephew could have called a better game than that idiot. Still doesnt excuse our performance, but definitely didnt help either. It always seems like every time we play an aggressive team we get refs like this.

On the positive: great game atmosphere. AND.....this game is not the end of the world. Just get ready for Cleveland......

Great game, Falcons. Your women made a nice run at the end-wish I'd been there -sound slike it was pretty exciting. Both games were pretty exciting. The ladies sent AA off in style.

Falcon Fanatic was kind enough to text me updates as our net feed at home was down...don't know what is wrong. Dang...sounded like a heavyweight title match between two pretty evenly matched teams. Congrats ut on a hard fought win. Come March, we'll get our revenge....again. All time record in this great series now stands at 41-27, BG. After winning 12 straight over ut, BG has now dropped 2 of the last 3. Need to nip that in the bud RIGHT NOW. ;0)

BG has lost 3 games this year...all by a single point. Ugh.

The gap b/w other MAC programs and BG has now been closed.

BG has got to be able to get more dominant inside scoring...from a dominant big.

Our offense is just way too predictable anymore and other programs have been able to key in on it.

MAC Tourney or bust now...for sure.

WE do have a gem in the waiting wings though.....can't wait til fall til she suits up.

Calling this game a "choke" denigrates a great effort by BG and certainly doesn't tell the tale. A hard fought game by both teams and a senior laden defending champ, led by perrenial top MAC coach Miller "choked" on their home court? Don't think so. My take is that two very talented teams, neither of whom are nearly Top Twenty Five material, duked it out hard and it came down to a single point. Here's hoping for a rematch in the tournament. "Choke" my foot.

I can't believe that NO one has mentioned that Tracy was at about 50% the whole second half due to a injury. I thought that was the telling difference in the game. She was having a lot of trouble playing defense, as well as cutting to the basket.

Agreed..calling this a "choke job" is very disrespectful to both teams. I'll give a ton of credit to UT. They took Prochaska away and forced us to rely on secondary scoring threats for the bulk of the game. Didn't know Pontius was hurting...that would explain a lot. That PG...Shaammmaa Balamma?...played a heck of a game. She reminds me a lot of Kate Achter. She's always hustling and yapping...looking forward to March and a possible rematch.

Well, it's MAC tournament or bust now. See you in March.

So does that mean we won't have to read any of your negativity for 6 weeks???? If so, I will be looking forward to hearing from you in 6 weeks.

On a separate note, I understand fans are upset from time to time, it happens everywhere and in every sport but I am sick and tired of people commenting on things when they don't even see the team perform. Toledo had the #1 defense in the MAC and is a championship team. Our first game, Evansville hit 9 of their first 10 shots, with most of them being three point shots and put us down by 18 early on. Heck, that night UConn would have difficulties. And well Kent was a hard fought road game where we battled tooth and nail yet people who didn't see the game find something negative to say. Don't just let at a box score and then comment on a game. If you do that then your as hypocritical as the AP voters.

I had a bad feeling about this game just by watching our girls in the pre-game warmups. I saw no focus on detail but a team just going through the motions and then they started like it.

This was my first game of the year, but I found it EXTREMELY odd that Coach Miller left the team out on the floor for more than 15 minutes, never taking them to the locker room for a pep talk or any pre-game preparation. And then they started the game that way with wild shots and little focus. UT on the other hand was focused and determined from the tip.

I was also suprised to see us start the game with Pontius 'trying' to guard Shafir. She could not come close to guarding her last year either. And I don't believe Pontius was injured. She got two fouls early in the first half so she had to be sat. And her back-up was playing much better D anyway.

Lastly, does Miller teach boxing out on rebounds at all? We were absolutely terrible on the boards and Toledo is not really any taller. Again, goes to effort and coaching IMHO.

Bottom line, we got out-worked and out-coached in our own building. That simply can't happen.

P.S.: That woman referee was horrible. I wish they would assign the 'token' female referees to these games becasue they are qualified, not because they are women. And yes, she was horrible for both teams.

I've missed 2 games---both in Seattle. The game last night was every physical with the refs seeing the second foul usually on us. Tracy is really hurting --- lower body & a knee to knee hit with Namaa on a charge. The woman ref I think T'd Curt up this season & the older guy doesn't seem to like BG IMO. I prediicted 12-1 in nonconference. IMO anyone can beat anyone else in this league on any given night. BG has the pits of a schedule right now---@KSU then @UB (Sat & Tues), @WMU & @NIU (Tues & Sat) this week then @Miami & @ Akron 2/19 & 2/22 (Tues & Sat). wth some home games sprinkled in. Cut them some slack & give the coaches their due. Realize people are tired of losing to BG so they'll do anything (& have) to beat us----then celebrate like they're NCAA champs. I want wins too but I'll take one of the top 4 seeds for the MAC tournament. Can I come to your job site & yell, scream & berate you for the work you're doing? Try 2 full time jobs STUDENT and ATHLETE. Put a little salt in your shoes.

Who exactly yelled, screamed and berated our players at the game?

And I imagine Coach Miller was not too thrilled about getting outrebounded 24-11 in the first half and then not securing the rebound on the missed FT in the last minute.

And who are you talking about? Let's name names. If it was you who was sitting right in front of me well, did I say something like we need to get that rebound? And pick up the ball? Both legitimate things to say in the heat of the game. If you are talking about BGSUE then you better clean your ears out. She would never do such a thing. She stays positive and keeps encouraging the team. Lets just cool the talk and let the team get back to their winning ways. We're all Falcon fans here. Let's not put down the team and coaching staff.
