In addition to Ball State, Kent State and Western Michigan also have coaching vacancies.

I guess Western doesn't surprise me, but Kent does, thought Bob Lindsey would be there forever, did he retire on his own terms or was he forced to retire?

Got the impression (from talking with someone in the "know" at BG,) that Lindsey would be gone. Yet, the comments from Lindsey seemed to express surprise. So, who really knows? All I know is that KSU only had TEN players dressed for the BG game...not sure if it was due to injuries or not....but they also were under "womaned" last year too, IIRC.

Kent State got a lot of ink on Lindsay. http://www.swishappeal.com/2012/3/20/28 ... c-schaefer

I heard about it from a reliable BG source weeks before it happened, and before we destroyed Kent. Lindsay had lost his sophomore class and had, what, 7 freshmen and only 10 roster players on the team. Rumors of missed practices by the coach were among the reasons he was let go. Yet, only the 3rd losing season in 20 years.....

Here's the article from after the firing http://www.recordpub.com/news/sports_ar ... 045?page=0

Wow! I guess in a way, we just added another MAC BB coach to the pool

We might need a coaches' scorecard for next season and we still have a couple of months to go.

I saw that Gilbert resigned at EMU, anyone know anything about this or where she may be going?

On-going NCAA investigation into the program. Wonder of this has anything to do with her leaving Ypsi.

I did see that when I actually went to EMU's website. When I first saw the tweet about the job being open I just assumed she was moving on to a bigger job after her team won the MAC tournament

UT loses Todd Mittmiser (sp?) who worked with the post players and developed game plans. He will be sorely missed.

WMU named Shane Clipfell, an Assoc. head coach from MSU, as new head coach...was with Suzy Merchant for "many years". (she doesn't look as good as she used to while at EMU). \:D/
