I’m 40 years old (I turn 41 on 3/6/2011… but I’m clinging). My entire life there has been this place where I could go and feel at home. I walk in and inhale the smells, hear the sounds, feel the “pulse” and all the REAL issues in life fade away for a couple of hours. That’s important in this world, having a place where you can escape for a while…

We’ve seen some amazing games, and we’ve seen some REALLY AWFUL games, but we always come back. We celebrate together, we sulk together, and, most importantly, we make wise-ass remarks together.

I’ve been going to BGSU basketball games in Anderson Arena for a LONG TIME… I’ve gotten to see some pretty great players play in Anderson, but I was always frustrated that I never got to see some of the GREATEST of all time. Thanks to the BGSU Center for Archival Collections, I’ve gotten that chance…

Ay-ziggy-zoomba.com member, Ryan Wilhelm sent me a message on Facebook several months ago telling me I should talk to his dad, Roy Wilhelm, who was an athlete at BGSU in the early 60′s. Ryan said he might have some interesting stories to share as we head into this last year of Anderson Arena, and the 100th year of BGSU.

Man, I wish I could be there for this event… but I’m in Columbus for a seminar. Someone please go and I’ll let you guest-blog about it on here!! This is TOMORROW at Anderson Arena.
